Summer Camp 2018

Dates announced for Summer Camp

Don’t miss the opportunity of a lifetime for your Scout!

By far, a week at Resident or Day Camp may seem daunting to mom or dad, but for your Scout it will be the most exciting, adventure filled week of their summer.

Take aim at Scout Camp this summer starting on August 5-10 for the overnight resident camp experience. From August 13-17, the day camp option is available.

Camp Workcoeman is located in New Hartford, CT and has been our districts camp for over 90 years. Located on West Hill Pond, the pond features some of the cleanest water in the state. Summer camp, whether resident or day camp will expose your scout to endless fun as they go swimming everyday, engage in sports, bouldering, hiking, archery, bb gun shooting, geology, scout-craft and so much more.

Resident camp is a 6 day, 5 night experience designed for Cubs entering fourth and fifth grade

A highlight for many of the scouts in resident camp will also be eating in the dinning hall, setting the table and and even serving food. Resident camp has a way of helping your scout become more responsible, and will challenge them with every day chores like making their bed, keeping their tent clean, and picking up around the camp site.

Day Camp is for scouts entering second and third grade and features all the fun and excitement of summer camp without the overnight element. Scouts are introduced to the Cub Scout summer camp program and will come away with a great experience that will include fun, friendship, excitement, and some advancement.

Parent volunteers for Day Camp:

If we are able to maintain a 8 scout to 1 adult ratio, all scouts attending day camp will receive a $50 refund. If you can only volunteer part of the week, please let us know.

Info to sign up will be on the website shortly.
